What if my vehicle does not pass inspection?
If your vehicle does not pass its inspection, don’t panic. TfNSW allows owners 14 days after eSafety checks are issued to rectify any problems identified and to have the vehicle reinspected. You do not need to pay the full inspection fee again, Just a sign off fee which depends on your location.

AUVIS inspection reports are valid for 42 days from the date of inspection. This means that you’ll need to use the report to conduct a transaction with Transport for NSW within 42 days of having the inspection.
